Empowerment and Economic Advancement through Women's Opportunities
We firmly believe that the true empowerment of women hinges upon their financial independence. Trua are the days when women solely relied on their fathers or husbands to fulfill their needs. Traditionally, their roles were confined to household chores, such as cooking, washing, cleaning, and child-rearing. They often had no say in family decision-making. While there has been positive change, primarily in metropolitan and urban areas, there’s a pressing need to extend empowerment to women in rural and marginalized communities.
Our approach to women’s empowerment aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, including Gender Equality, Reducing Inequalities, and Decent Work and Economic Growth. Women’s empowerment cannot be complete unless we reach women in rural and underserved areas, especially those in disadvantaged socioeconomic strata. Given the opportunity, these women have shown remarkable potential to contribute to their families’ well-being. Today, we see women excelling as masons, tailors, rickshaw and cab drivers, pump attendants, and even farmers. At ABO, our mission is clear: Every woman deserves equal opportunities, regardless of her gender. Furthermore, women should have the chance to pursue their passions, interests, and entrepreneurial endeavors, thereby fostering their economic growth.
Our Women’s Empowerment Program is a comprehensive initiative that encompasses career counseling, guidance, and skill development. We empower women by offering counseling, mentoring, and coaching in various fields of interest, be it academic pursuits, professional careers, or self-employment ventures. We ensure they receive exposure to diverse areas and provide all necessary guidance and financial support to help them succeed in achieving their aspirations and goals. Through these efforts, we are not only advancing the economic standing of women but also contributing to a more equal and inclusive society, where women are not only financially independent but also empowered to pursue their dreams and interests freely.
